| The hotel is surrounded by a large park with ancient cypresses and pine trees which offers the opportunity of long and healthy walks along its shadowed paths or to enjoy a rest sitting on a bench. The park has also a flowering garden where breakfast is served. The 22 bedrooms of the hotel are all located in quiet and relaxed positions, most of them overlooking the wide and old park and garden painted in pastel colours and furnished in a refined old style, they welcome their guests to an antique mansion which is at the same time endowed with all modern comforts. Some of them are furnished with elegant, wooden furniture in the XVII century style, with four-posters beds, silk curtains, and damasks.The two suites which are mostly appreciated for the rich atmosphere created by stuccoes and damasks have hosted, on many occasions, the famous Italian artists Federico Fellini and Giuliettta Masina and are named after them. Other bedrooms have beamed cealings and brick floors, they are furnished according to the traditional old Tuscan country style especially appreciated by the lovers of ancient, rustic life. The Restaurant "I Salotti" is the jewel of the estate. It is personally run by the owner, Mr Loris Mozzini who has been internationally awarded for his cooking skills and his ability in displaying dishes.The restaurant offers a very creative cuisine in which traditional dishes are reinter-preted in original style and matched with a very wide selection of wines (more than 500 labels both local: Vino Nobile and Brunello and wines from the North of Italy and France). Service is excellent. The interior decoration of the restaurant is particularly refined, the silk curtains and the elegant silver cutlery and plates together with the accurate laying of the tables show the exquisite taste of the owners and their desire to give their guests a charming and soft atmosphere which makes the restaurant the ideal place to enjoy the gourmet dishes created. For people who love smoking in peace Le fumoir (smoking room) is the ideal place where they can taste a cigar from the large selection on dispay together with a glass of sweet wine or grappa or whisky. Surrounded by olive and cypress trees, in the quiet Senese countryside, the pool is the latest jewel created to make your stay even more pleasant. You can enjoy unforgettable views along the borders of this mirror of water reflecting the nice hills. | ||
